Bike of the Week – BMW i Pedelec

"Pedelec" is actually short for "Pedal Electric Cycle" which is not an ebike in the sense that an ebike is basically a bike with a motor; a pedelec is a bike that, if you need a motor, it gives you the extra boost, adding to your biking. You can still pedal home if your battery dies so it’s definitely not dependent on the motor.

BMW has released their plans for their Pedelec (because it’s still not on the market for purchase yet) in conjunction with their new emissions-free i3.

You’ve got to admit, having a BMW, regardless of in what form, is pretty damn sweet.
