Holy fuckballs.
Pardon my French but I honestly thought that there was very little in the cycling world that could surprise me.
Boy, was I wrong.
It is basically an septopus (it’s got seven “arms,” as it were) on four wheels and a total of seven people can hop on and bike. Unlike a traditional tandem, where the riders are facing towards where they are going, on the ConferenceBike, you’ve got everyone sitting in a circle while the one who is sitting in the traditional spot of the cyclist (facing forward) is the one who steers. The idea is to have group mobility, a fun group meeting and have a little team-building to boot (hand signaling while on the street and stuff).
It’s a pretty sweet idea and it would get more people who weren’t so inclined to ride to do it because they are all working as a team.
