Craig Alexander. Three-time Ironman World Champion. He normally races 70.3 Ironmans and 140.6 Ironmans. What's the difference? The numbers refer to how much in the way of miles is done on the course. A 70.3 consists of a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike ride and a 13.1 mile run. The 140.6 (or the full Ironman) is double the distance.
