A Realistic Electric Bike, the FlyKly

Electric bikes are something that really need to catch on.  They're an incredibly efficient way to get around.  Unfortunately most versions released in recent years aren't that great.  One of the biggest knocks on electric bikes is their weight. They're not exactly slim, making it difficult to drag them up your apartment steps or into your workplace, which is a reality to most city dwellers.  If someone makes an electric bike over 50 lbs they are completely missing the point.  But pretty much every mainstream electric bike manufacturer does this.  Take the A2B for example, they weigh in at around 90 freaking lbs, not to mention it costs $3000, that just fucking stupid!  Why not buy a damn motorcycle?

Fortunately a group of designers and engineers in NYC saw the light and came up with this beauty, the FlyKly.  I'm still undecided about that name...
