Shannon 4.0 out of 5 stars It does require some knowledge with the medical terminology. The rest is filler and fluff: why massage is a legitimate modality; some suggestions re working the legs, feet, and back (regardless of headache); medical interventions for headache, etc. So, 20 or so pgs actually about massage for headache.

And those few pages are shockingly poorly written and sorely lacking in details. Having read texts by both authors, Fritz and Chaitow, I cannot believe that either wrote any of the sentences in this book. The book does disservice to each of their well-earned reputations. As a final insult, the DVD I received did not work at all.The information included other areas that could be causing the head and neck pain: ie, psoas, low back, etc. Who would have thought that breathing disorders, certain foods, and even poor posture can create headaches. I personally like the illustrations of massage techniques in the book and those on the DVD. The DVD massage techniques and protocols taught is fantastic. Being able to learn about these massage techniques from two very reputable massage therapists makes the DVD the very best part of the whole book for me.Sent it back for a replacement and that DVD didn't work either, tried it on different machines and no luck. For my liking the book just doesn't have enough info on massage techniques to be applied instead it talks about all the stuff you would expect to find in a massage course manual.not needed for a book that we are led to believe is focused solely on headaches.if you're a massage therapist treating headaches you will already know all this other stuff which could be referenced from another of the authors books. The DVD was the main reason for purchasing the book so the fact it didn't work was a let down.I really rate both these authors as the best out there, particularly Sandy Fritz, I have a number of her books which are fantastic and recommend to anyone. Maybe the Uk supplier has bought in a batch of oversees versions with DVDs that aren't of our regional settings.who knows. Don't let this put you off though as there is gold in the book once you get past the other stuff.
