FSA SL-K Carbon Stem

We keep seeing more and more of the pro peloton reverting back to the tried and true reliability of aluminum stems, and the FSA SL-K Carbon Stem makes a good argument for why. Pairing the latest in alloy forging technology with lightweight carbon fiber, the SL-K Carbon improves on past without abandoning the future. With a foot on each side of the line, FSA provides a stiff support for the handlebars at a weight that's in line with carbon and titanium.FSA's SL-K Carbon Stem is constructed from a mix of CNC machined 2014 aluminum and a carbon fiber composite. To guarantee rigidity, FSA 3D forged the aluminum stem body. This process starts with one ingot of aluminum that gets bored out and shaped internally; ultimately improving the aluminum's grain structure, eliminating the use of welds, and drastically reducing weight. The benefits to you are a heightened stiffness, with weight comparable to carbon fiber, at a considerably lower cost. To maintain the flow of weight savings, the SL-K uses a carbon fiber face plate with chromoly hardware. The SL-K Carbon features a 40mm fork-clamp stack height with a 6 degree rise. FSA has included clamp-to-clamp model graphics that run inverse of each other to keep the aesthetic unchanged whether you slam the stem or run positive rise. The FSA SL-K Carbon Stemis available in 80, 90, 110, 120, and 130mm lengths, and in the colors Black and White. Please note that this stem is only compatible with 1-1/8in steer tubes and 31.8mm clamp diameter handlebars.
