To an untrained eye it might look like this girl forgot her pants.  To those people living in San Francisco, they will immediately recognize this as the pantsless Bart ride, the yearly tradition where rides of Bay Area Rapid Transit forgoe pants for a while.  Gotta love San Franicisco, a city I also call home.

I still love Lance Armstrong. I don't give a fuck what anyone says, and I haven't even worn one of those stupid wrist bands.

On a bike, you’ve got either one of two types of brakes. You’ve got the caliper brakes or V-brakes, which look like a pair of pincers that pinch the rim of the wheel to stop. Or you’ve got the disc brake, which is a disc affixed to the hub of the wheel, which brakes via a caliper on the fork itself. The mechanism of disc brakes is very similar to those found in cars and they are used mainly to dissipate heat, which is useful for your downhillers.

The thing is caliper brake pads and disc brake pads are materials reacting to different surfaces. The pads on calipers vs the pads on discs wear on surfaces differently. The discs don’t wear out whereas the rims on a wheel do. Plus disc brakes work in wet weather and calipers are crap, which I almost found out to my cost.

The Xfire is cool.  It's a bike light that projects a bike lane on the road for you, drawing a line in the sand for any motorist who wants to try and buzz you.  

My only car is a bike, and I like it that way. No, I love it. My former vehicle cost me a lot of money in parking tickets and was just a giant stress machine. However, it's tough to carry a lot of stuff on your bike. That's where a bike trailer comes in.
