Unlike many other job site radios that include just a 12VDC cigarette lighter style outlet, this radio takes power distribution to a new level with four GFCI protected power outlets in addition to a 12V outlet. The innovation doesn’t stop here. The claim is that you can drop this radio 10 feet and not skip a beat. We tested and witnessed this first-hand in our 2010 Bosch Media event coverage.http://www.jangrootmuziek.nl/files/4_3-liter-mercruiser-engine-manual(1).xml
Editor’s Note: If you’re interested in a more recent take, check out our portable job site radios round up article where we test the latest features and build quality of 11 different models. Also check out the Bosch Power Box 360 Jobsite radio and the Bosch PB120 Jobsite Radio. There are separate bass and treble controls, a Bosch 4 level EQ system, and a total of 30 radio station presets. The buttons and knobs are easy to use and are large enough that even a gloved hand can operate them. All the buttons, knobs, speakers, and battery compartment are sealed to protect the unit from weather and dust. There are two main speakers and two tweeters. You can see the isolation of parts in the Bosch PB10-CD Power Box with this exploded view of the chassis and components. The radio can operate on both 120VAC and 12-24VDC Bosch battery packs. The onboard outlets are only functional when the unit is plugged in to 120VAC. This does radio does not function as a Bosch battery pack charger. The batteries are used to only power the unit when there is no regular power available. A small remote control is include that controls volume; convenient storage is provide for the remote on top of the curved top handle, but we are pretty sure this will be the first part lost. Fortunately all of the remote control’s functions can be accessed from the main radio. The battery compartment can also double as CD storage. Conclusion With the overall specifications of the Bosch PB10 Power Box Advanced Jobsite Stereo, this should be a solid performer. As with most tools from Bosch, they are well made and have a certain level of quality to them that leaves little to be desired. The street price has come down considerably and you would be able to find one of these for less then half the MSRP. That versatility comes from the array of features built into the Bosch Power Box, making it useful wherever it is set down. The exterior features appear to have been designed with resistance to dust in mind, a good thing in any woodworking environment. Even the heavy power cord has a home to keep it safe and out of the way, wrapped around four heavy-duty brackets on the side of the box. The controls are built into a faux brushed-metal bezel reminiscent of 1960's automotive instrument groups. James B. Morgan 1.0 out of 5 stars Mine the cd player never worked and the outlets on the side of it never worked either. Why I didn't return it I don't know. Sorry I didn't.It's a beautiful thing. One question: Why on earth did Bosch not use a new model number for their 'advanced' Power Box. All the negative reviews are about the old version and keep people from realizing how great this product is. This 'running change' is definitely worthy of a new model number, and deserves many more stars. I looked at the Power Box a hundred times- on Amazon, and at my local HD store.Reception is crystal clear, which is what everyone complained about before. Also, Sound quality is great, and the remote is very cool. My only complaint: the Remote is IR, so you have to point it directly at the front of the box. If you are too far off-angle, the IR-remote is fairly useless. WHY WHY WHY didn't they use an RF remote on this rather than IR. Alas, the dock is simply power, and audio connection- no control. That said, it is a slick 'add-on' designed specifically for the powerbox. So, two items for the wishlist, but overall, a great, great design, with super sound, and none of the gotchas of the previous versions.I bought it for my husband so he could use it at his place of work. It proved not to be loud enough for the work place, which desapointed me because I assumed it is supposed to be heavy duty and made for construction or facture type of places. Well, we've kept it at home but, once in a while, for no apparent reason, it stops working. Nothing works on it, as if the power is completely out. Then, a couple of hours later, you try it again and it works. It would cost us more to send it back and ask for our money back than to just keep it so, we have it at home but, it is worthless for us.
It's something we can not rely on. We will never order anything else from this seller again. This is a good gift for the guy you think have everything. The only problem with it is easy to fix, the antenna. Either you can wrap some aluminum foil around it to increase reception, or your a more hands on guy (I wouldn't be surprised if most people who own this are) you can cut off the old one and solder a standard collapsible one easily purchased from any electronic store like radio shack to the base of the removed antenna. A little pricey, but you get more than what you pay for.I had to turn both treble and bass up all the way to get a decent volume level. I think they may have done this so people will not blow the speakers, maybe, just a guess. The reception is OK but not what I would expect for something that costs this much. I think how robust a cars radio tuner is and wonder why this radio tuner can't be as good. Often I have to move the unit around to get good sound for different stations. The remote control is a joke. When using the remote directly in front of it and within ten feet it will not work 80 of the time. It is unbelievably frustrating. If this feature is important to you and a deal breaker do not buy it.Setting all the controls up takes some getting used to, once you know all the buttons and adjustments it's great. The reception is very good in all bands. The CD plays great and doesn't skip. The remote is nice. I had the Dewalt and there is no comparison. The guys on the job all said what about the battery, now you don't have a spare. I said I have a radio with a 18Volt battery which does not get removed. I have chargers that I plug in the GFI outlet and charge battery's with. I said this is a radio that happens to have a charger. The Dewalt is a charger that has a radio attached. What I'm saying is they designed a radio around there charger rather than the other way. If you want a job site radio get this one! It's well worth the price.
And now reception is as good as any other radio out there. It's playing CD's and MP-3's as I type.Kudo's to Bosch for the quick fix. I wish I could increase the actual rating, 5 Stars, no question. -------- I saw the radio in the store and had it in my cart. I thought I should read the reviews prior to purchase and put it back. After reading the reviews I went back to home depot and with the Dewalt on one side and the Milwaukee on the other I performed the reception test. Don't buy the Bosch. I'm a great fan of their tools but the Bosch would not pick up ANY FM stations while the others would tune clearly to 8-10 local and not so local stations. The Good- The MP3 function puts 11 hours of music on a disk, and with 12vdc and 4 outlets of GFCI It's still a good tool. I may need to take it apart to put an external antenna on it tho'The PB10-CD was by far the item to buy. Amazon offered it at a great price and i bought it. The sound is great, it's rugged and for what it's worth it even looks great. I don't often send a company a review but in this case I wrote to Bosch and praised them for a well thought out design. Michael 5.0 out of 5 stars Love the Bluetooth technology and the USB port for charging cell phones etc. This will be great for working in the yard, tailgating, or taking to the beach or lake. I did notice that this model does not come with the features that the previous model that this unit replaced which is why i knocked it down one star. But all in all I like the radio and hope to get many years of great use. Pros: Rugged Great features (Bluetooth) Good solid construction Hours of sounds without having it plugged in The sound does not stop when you transition from being plugged in to battery power Cons: Media door is probably going to be too small for most phones I would like for the screen to be slightly better with the ability to read out what song is playing.
Lacks features from the previous model (PB360D) which included 2 aux imports, 12v plug, audio out, wireless remote, sd card reader, docking station for xm radio, and 50 watts of sound compared to this model which has 26 watts. That may sound extreme, but as an aspiring handyman and journeyman weightlifter with a home gym and a serious fondness for music, it's true. This radio is Bosch quality and style all the way around, meaning it's extremely solid and very user-friendly. So, the build quality: excellent, as far as I can tell. I've put this thing through its paces for several months now, and haven't had even the slightest hiccup out of it. This thing is heavy. I mean it. It's a chunk. We call it the Whale Box. It's a beast. You'll be glad for the carrying handle on the top. The actual box itself doesn't ever touch the ground. The rails running around it keep the box suspended between them no matter what side you lay it on. The subwoofer is on the bottom, so when set upright, it'll fire down into whatever surface you've set it on, giving it good sound and surprising presence for its size. I play bass guitar, and I'm impressed by the bottom-end power this thing can produce, especially for its size. Just set the EQ to 'Rock' and wait for your neighbors to complain or compliment. Depends on the neighbor, I suppose. I suggest having a drink ready for them either way. On to the functions, then. There is even a sealable bay on the side to store and protect your music player or flash drive. If you're going to use a flash drive, it needs to be a very short one, as the bay door closes down and leaves no room for a longer one. I guess you could use a longer drive and just leave the door open, but flash drives are so cheap now I don't a reason to not buy one just for this box. This box is the command center for your Bosch tools. It has a backlit clock with a AA battery backup. There's a charging bay in the back that accepts Bosch 18v batteries.
Plug the box into the wall and charge a battery while you use the others and enjoy some music. Like the aux bay, it has a door and will close over the smaller batteries. The other side has a pair of spring-loaded flaps that cover a pair of three-prong outlets each. They're all 120v AC, and the box tells you that the outlets will put out a combined max of 10 amps. And, if you download the Bosch app, you can even use this little dude as a PA. Imagine the possibilities. Seriously. Get yourself a Bosch drill and driver set, a circular saw (preferably the worm gear version, if you can afford it), and a reciprocating saw and there won't be much you can't handle in short order. None of this is to say that Bosch is the ultimate tool company. It definitely has its problems and its competitors. Milwaukee, Makita, and DeWalt all make outstanding products. Hilti is almost objectively better, but you'll certainly pay for it. Festool is the same way. But, to me, Bosch has the best and most accessible overall combination. At least for now. Power, great ergonomics, flexibility, and value. I can't ask for much more. The instruction manual only address a similar condition. The unit is in some sort of locked mode where it turns on but its controls do not work at all. The unit is useless. Well, I disconnected it for more than 24 hours and the unit did not heal itself. Another excellent company with a terrible product. They send you a paper with it saying to download the app to use to program alarms, do jobsite annoucements etc and the app crashes each time you press anything to use it. None of my apps crash. Also it says last update for their app was 3 years ago. Also I called Bosch on drills I bought with this radio and they treated me like garbage. I returned the drills. Will keep this radio but not happy with Bosch service.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again It does easily find my iPad which thankfully works perfectly.

The jumbo model included with this combo is big enough for the whole family, or allows you to make extra ahead for lunch the next day. But the real gem is the rotisserie, and is where I was most surprised. If you enjoy whole roast chicken from one of the restaurant chains or your local grocery, you'll be pleasantly surprised when you're able to make it at home -- with the added benefit of controlling everything that goes into it. Simple recipes accompany the appliance, and the results are just delicious. The rotisserie comes with skewers for ka-bobs, or a basket for smaller foods like chicken legs or a small roast. Definitely one of my favorite gifts this past season, it gets a big thumb's up. You can look them up separately to see the picts.I had a smaller Foreman grill and this one is about double the size. The rotisserie looks great too. I'm sure I'll love the rotisserie as much as I will the grill. Since I had the smaller grill I can speak from experience about how great they are. Makes fixing dinner a whole lot easier since my husband was put on a low-fat diet by his doctor. I have the mini George Foreman grill and I live by it. I can't wait until I use the rotisserie. If you're planning on buying George Foreman GR36CB Jumbo Size Plus Grill or this George Foreman GR59A Baby George Rotisserie, I'd strongly recommend you consider this AWESOME deal. Don't let this offer slip by you because there's no product picture. I'm glad I didn't.ENJOYING MY GEORGE FOREMAN GRILL AND ROTISSERIE! Designed to heat water continuously, the iron provides strong, even steam distribution, as well as a water-spray feature and a steam-jet function for extra stubborn wrinkles. You can also turn the water options off for dry-iron projects, like synthetic fabrics. A rocker switch controls water output during use--rock it one way for steam and the other way for water--and the steam valve is designed to self-clean automatically.
