Babaroy 3.0 out of 5 stars As a grass cutter it is very good and the large capacity grass box makes for longer use between emptying. Adjusting the cutting height is easy. Assembly of the handles is straightforward. Assembly of the collection box is alright, but long term use shows that it is quite flimsy and I have put a couple of self tapping screws on each side near the latches to stop it coming apart. Real weak point that spoils this machine is the poor switch mechanism. All four of the machines that I have seen have their switch lever fail. The lever can be replaced at a cost of about ?5.00 for the lever if you do it yourself. But you are just putting the same weak part in that will last between one or two grass cutting seasons. This model has been out long enough now for their to have been a modification to correct this shortcoming. Bosch must know about the levers. Our local garden centre has a repair department and stocks these levers, so that is maybe a clue that they are not strong enough. The machine has been very good otherwise and has lasted for four to five years so far. I would consider buying another, (as the cost seems to come down every year) and replace the lever very year as an end of season service. If you can keep the lever serviceable and put a couple of screws into the grass box, then I have found this lawn mower to be quite good.The main problem is the screws for the handle. Bosch covered it with plastic (first pic). Its nice and handy if you don't have any tools but since the head of the metal screw is covered with plastic, after some rotations the inside edges of plastic cover gets worn out and can't rotate the screw inside as it can't hold the edges. So once I put the handle and used the screws, I can't remove the screw as the plastic cover worn out. And you can't remove the plastic cover once it is fixed. I struggled for an hour to remove it (2nd and 3rd pic). After finally exposing the metal head I thought I can now remove the screw. Nope, it rotates but does not come out. Something is very very wrong with this design. For just over seventy quid, this will be fine for a couple of seasons; certainly more successful than the cheapo small Flymo hover which we bought last year (2017) - hey ho, sometimes you get what you pay for. This BOSCH lawnmower is in a league above the cheap Flymo, for twenty quid more.The grass box as said by others is not well made and did not fit together well but time will tell how it lasts and it does have an extended 3 year warranty. It cuts well and even wet grass seems to be no problem which is just as well as mine is nearly always wet. The handle control can only be held with the right hand which is a bit of a pain as my last one was ambidextrous and useful for freeing hands to guide and hold the cable with either hand as I like to do. I had thought I was buying a German made machine but found it was made in China like everything nowadays and if I had known that I probably would have tried elsewhere to get something made nearer home. It is supposed to fold up for storage but seems a bit of a performance so I just leave it in the porch. Carrying handle is handy and a nice touch. Only had it a few months and so far seems to be doing a good job.Collapses in to a compact space so it can be stored in the shed without much room. Nice big grass bucket. Height adjustment is easy. Cons: Is not very robust. I have a small garden, quite flat and square, yet the mower started losing bits over time. The red plastic side handles both got chewed up as they fell under the mower. And there is an awkward ledge that grass collects on, so when you remove the bucket to empty the grass clippings the grass falls in to the ground. Just an irritating niggle. Good value for money, although I’m not sure if I would buy again.Update: Well it made it for one more cut and has now officially died. Not happy at all happy and would not recommend.Some pieces wouldn't fit together well. Grass cutting compartment would easily fall off when used.
Gap in the frame would have meant grass getting into it. Is this really a Bosch product. Have returned for refund.The item was sent very quickly. Was easy to assemble and I am very pleased with it. It cuts much better than the flymo I had before, I particularly like the way you can alter the cutting length. I have had back problems before and this is much easier to push across the grass than my previous mower. As has been previously stated it cuts into the edge much more effectively. The grass box does look flimsy but it's fine and it's size is a bonus; I only have to empty it at the end. For the size of garden we have it is more than adequate; small to medium. 0 out of 5 stars I found my model number under the sprung flap where the collecting box fits.Although I am sure it will do the job I feel a bit conned to be honest.Just to say that this IS a genuine Bosch part and does fit a 10 year old Rotak 34GC. It is easy to fit, if you have done a minimum of cleaning over the years you'll see the moulded hole in the base for the screwdriver to hold the blade while you loosen the old bolt, not too difficult to loosen the bolt even though our blade had been on since new (and was well past it!). The bolt screws in and out the 'normal' way, RHD threaded. Certainly makes a huge difference cutting the grass!Easy enough to fit. The only challenge is you need to put a small screwdriver through a hole through to the motor to stop the motor turning as you undo the bolt holding it in place, and it took me a couple of goes to find the right hole:) After that though it's very simple, and it cuts really well.It's a genuine Bosch part which is a bonus, Amazon's price couldn't be beaten.Mower is now cutting nice and cleanly again and knowing the quality of the Bosch products, I would imagine that this will last just as long as my previous blade (over 8 years).Simple to change over and a perfect cut was the result. This item was competitively priced and with Prime delivery, nothing short of great really. Highly recommended Supplier.The new blade is so much better - cutting cleanly - and the lawnmower just seems to perform better overall despite long wet grass. I will definitely replace the blade every few years now.

Was soll ich sagen, der Rasenmaher schneidet mit dem neuen Messer wie am ersten Tag. Nun schneidet er die Spitzen wieder sauber ab, wirft das abgeschnitte Gras sauber in die Auffangbox und das ganze vollkommen muhelos. Die alte Schraube mit etwas WD-40 gelockert, mit einem 13-er Maulschlussel abgedreht, dann Ersatzmesser mit der beiliegenden Schraube und Unterlegscheibe anmontiert - und schon lauft der Rasenmaher wieder wie neu. So haben sich die 30 Euro Mehrpreis gegenuber einem Billiggerat letztlich gerechnet, von der Leistungsfahigkeit des Rotak 34 mal ganz abgesehen.
