Nkap99238 1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing wrong with Amazon or the company who provides this part, I'm just ranting at Bosch for making such a poor design decision. I think the proper method is to turn the DW off, then open the door to add the item. Better yet, do not ever open the door while it is in its cycle. I wonder if this switch is available with a metal latch. UK Appliance Technician: SparePartsPro, Appliance Technician replied 10 years ago Hi There You say that when you turned the machine back on it continued its wash cycle. Do you mean that the drain pump came on and drained the water outer or did it actually go through a wash cycle. You need to check that the float in the base is not stuck in the activated position.UK Appliance Technician: SparePartsPro, Appliance Technician replied 10 years ago Sorry I thought you said that the machine was locked and displays 1 on the readout. The fault you are now describing is completely different. You need to reset the machine by power off, press and hold the program button while pressing the power on. Fill the sump with water manually from a bucket, set the program to wash and close the door. The first thing that should happen is the drain pump will come on, short delay and the water inlet valve will actuate. Try that and come back to me.This can cause incorrect error displays because of the dry joint on the module. This is a common fault on these modules that can easily be seen once you take the module off. Before you do this it is worth checking that the heater stat hasn't failed or the heater gone open circuit. Do that first and if they check out ok, identify the module in the control panel, remove the connector blocks and inspect the module for burn marks especially where the heater terminates on the board.UK Appliance Technician: SparePartsPro, Appliance Technician replied 10 years ago Hi There You will need to take the outer door panel off. Fixed with 4 screws down the inside left hand and right hand. The module is site at the top of the door. It's the one with the program button and led on it.Rob is online now Get an Answer Continue Share this conversation See more Related UK Appliance Questions I have a bosch dishwasher series4. \015 No mater what cycle I start it in, it simply activates the drain and continues to run without ever starting. I've clean out the screen and drain filter, removed the pump cover to check for any debris. I've manually added water and it does drain. Additionally, the drain cycle continues to operate even with the door open. You can pull it off and measure the resistance with an ohmmeter. If you get good reading while pushed in and none while switch button is released, then it is a good start. Next, you may want. It's not clogged in the external hose, the filters are not dirty. I moved the Dishwasher outside and ran it with the input attached to the garden hose and the output drain hose laying on the ground so there is absolutely no chance of restriction due to the way it's plumbed in.
