Having Had it for one week we have had nothing but problems with it. What a disappointment because I had a Bosh prior to this that we really liked. They have gone down significantly in their quality. I’ve tried disconnecting the water supply to check if the filter was clogged but there were only 4 tiny particles that could not be the reason for any blockage.Taking it off power supply (hard reset) also did not help. If you have any suggestions I’d be happy to try before calling a technician. Now no lights or power at all. Tried turning the breaker off for 5-7 minutes. We did have a disposal problem (too many egg shells, which we fixed) a few hours prior to starting the dishwasher. So, of course, we chose Bosch again for our new kitchen. We have been pretty disappointed. The unit is quiet, and it does a so-so job of cleaning (after trying several different detergents.the Finish they recommended did horribly). Our main gripe is the amount of water left on the top rack items after the cycle is finished. I understand that some is resonable, but this is rediculous. We have to manually dry the items before placing them in the cabinet. We had the installers check to make sure the heating elements for the drying phase were working. They supposedly were. One thing I found out is that there is a hole in the Bosh dishwashers on the right side wall and you should not be putting anything tall (cutting boards, pan lids, large plates etc.) and we were doing this. The other thing I found out is that the door gasket looked very worn in several spots. Replacing the gasket we received was very simple. I did end up cleaning the the housing with dish soap.
Just fold the gasket in half to mark the halfway mark, begin inserting at the center of the Dishwasher (look at the latch) and just push the gasket in down the line and then go to the other side. Test the door to make sure it looks, sounds and feels like its sealing.I did not replace the lower door seal as this part does not seem to need replacement. You need to remove the retainer block where the hose exits the appliance. Old hose pulls out and new hose pushes in. In the end a very easy installation. Hold times are long. This roller enables the dishrack to move in and out of the dishwasher. Because these rollers generally wear out at the same time, we recommend replacing them in pairs. If the door is leaking then the door seal may be defective. Corroded or rusted dishracks should be replaced to avoid parts of the rack falling down and getting into the circulation pump damaging the pump. If the dishwasher does not wash properly then the wash impeller could be worn or the motor could be defective. The water inlet valve supplies water to the dishwasher. If the water inlet valve is defective, the dishwasher may underfill or not fill at all. If detergent dispenser does not open or dispense the detergent or rinse aid properly then dispenser will need to be replaced.
