The 55 min normal setting takes around an hour and 20 mins. It also likes to roll all items into a ball so that washing is not cleaned properly. The machine is 7 years old and this has happened since new. We have emailed Bosch on 2 occasions but did not even get a reply. So much for after sales service. Just today i had to remove the front panel and dislodge a rusted screw from around the drum, don't know where it came from. I suspect that it is the spider arm as many other reviews complain about this. The door seal does retain water, replaced the seal because the original one went mouldy and now know to dry it after use. Previous Simpson top loader lasted 16 years, only got rid of it to save water, I expected longer than 5 years. Disappointed! I would not recommend this machine if you expect it to last more than five years (ours lasted just over 4). In addition, the after sales service was surprisingly slow. I have still not received any written response to my complaint about this failure. Bosch: when someone takes the time to write to you about the failure of a key home appliance, a 24-48 hour response time would be appreciated (and a direct line so we don't have to wait unreasonable periods of time trying to get to speak to a real person). Standard 2-year warranties are of little use for major home appliances like this which we all expect to last 5-7 years of standard domestic use. This is where responsive and quality after sales service is key. I don't recommend this machine or Bosch after sales service. High spin speed, washed clothes well while it worked. Like Report Neil T 4 years ago Try opening the pump and see if there are any foreign item stuck in the rubber pipe from the drum. My daughter had bra wires stuck which caused a partial blockage.
It may be easier to access by pulling the machine out, disconnecting the power and water pipes and turning the machine carefully on its side.
