As far as I am aware, there is no way to manually adjust the water temperature of a Bosch 960 Water Wizard, it has to be done by a certified professional gas fitter. I noticed when I walked past the unit and it was blowing out hot air nobody else was home. I had to turn it off at the power. The fan of the OptiFlow will always run for 3 minutes once a hot tap is turned off. If the unit is running continuously with no hot tap on, it is possible that there is a leak in your hot water line. If this is the case and you can hear water running through the unit with no hot tap open, we recommend that you shut off the water isolation valve to the unit and phone a plumber. what ive put the pilot light going out and the main burner going out after 2 minutes or so is that there wasnt enough air flow.i used a holesaw to drill out a 30 mm hole in line with the pilot so if my ignition wont light i can use a gas extended lighter and also proped up the glass cover where the buttons are half way and put a makeshift hood over these.this has been an excellent fix and hasnt gone out in 3 weeks.try this and if it doesnt work just cover hole back up and drop glass screen.good luck. Was frantically trying to restart pilot but the off button I pressed by mistake would not pop up again Rang up their help line but the lady said nothing can be done but should call the plumber. Was about to call plumber but in meantime read a useful reply from a guy who said he sprayed WD 40 and just depressed a few times and off button popped up again. In my case the off button popped up again when I depressed the pilot light button. Bosch products are excellent as this unit is 6 years old and has been trouble free.
The attitude of their service and management however is another matter altogether. Hope this advice helps someone. If it goes out, try again.
I'm no expert but I think the warmth of the pilot might actually draw that little bit of gas that keeps it going. Just spray the WD40 around the edges of the button to try and get some oil into the back of the switch. I gave it a couple of pushes and out popped the button. Next time I will use graphite as WD40 has a tendency of gumming up making these issues worse in the long term. But for now I have hot water again. So i manually lit it for the next 15-20 times before all the buttons stopped working. Now i can manually light the pilot light but the gas-on button wont stay on. Both have had the same issues starting in the first 12 months. Regularly not having hotwater is not nice. The parts don't last long, the pilot light goes out, the buttons get stuck so you cannot operate the unit, hotwater takes a long time to come through and the water cycles through hot and cold - even with the water saver removed in the shower head (they say it causes the hot cold cycling), wd40 to get the off button to unstick. In my shower it is difficult to mix the hot and the cold reliably, the basin tap won't mix hot and cold at all and the same with my kitchen taps. It provides really hot water when the hot water does come through, however it is almost impossible to mix the hot and cold to get a warm temperature, when you add the cold the temperature of the water becomes cold and there is no warmth in the water.

The main issue with the Bosch 10p is the pilot light keeps going out and won't stay lit. The initial signs are 1) it goes out 2) you have to hold the pilot light button down for several minutes, not 10 seconds to reignite it 3) then it won't be too far down the track that you can expect the pilot light to just not stay on at all no matter how long you hold down the button. Jan Perth WA 4 reviews 1 like I couldn't afford to replace my solar hot water system, so went for the 10P. Haven't had a decent shower yet, and I have to boil a kettle to wash up. The plumber has already been back once, and Bosch say if they send a technician I will be charged if the damn thing isn't actually defunct. On an Aged pension I don't have any more money to spend, so what to do?. Read more I'm very unhappy with this product. I should mention that the heater is below my kitchen window, so water doesn't have far to travel. Next step may be the Ombudsman. Too many people have the same problems with this product to ignore. I was pressured quite heavily by sales to migrate to the zero pilot systems. We have both pump assisted or gravity fed tank water and I was concerned there would be enough pressure to turn the pilot on. I was also considerate my bbq takes a few prods. So I went with the Bosch 10P. After I bought it and installed it, I was told by 2 independent installers that the zero (on demand) pilot systems were a headache for many and they were getting many calls and THEY told me I had right a wise choice. Try depressing the light button on the far left. If it does not release it, you can unscrew the two phillips screws that hold the metal plate. This should reveal the slide mechanism. Show More Show Less How it works Login Contact Us Ask Your Question Send It. We’ll take you through step by step on how to easily relight Bosch hot water system, especially Bosch 10P. This allows the gas through to the pilot light. If it doesn’t light, something has blocked up the injector and it needs a service. If it goes out immediately, it needs a service. This allows gas to go through to the main burner when the water is turned on. Hot water should start coming through. If it doesn’t, it means the diaphragm has perished and it will need to be replaced. They have new ones made of silicone which are awesome. Check if there’s any leak. The most important part that needs to be replaced is the gland sleeve. It is located between the gas chamber and the water chamber. If you do get water into the gas chamber, you will be up for a new hot water system. That’s why this is important to keep an eye out for. Sometimes it may not have entered the gas chamber yet, but when there’s water dripping onto the gland sleeve, over time it will stuff it up and it will need replacement. If you leave it for too long, you won’t be able to service the hot water system anymore.Now, before we adjust the temperature of the water, here’s something you should know. Therefore, the slower the water travels through the HWS, the more heat it will collect. Turn it anti-clockwise. This will allow the water to flow through the unit as fast as possible. It’s great in the summer time as the water is slightly warmer flowing into the unit.
