By far the worst amp kit I have ever purchased (and I have installed hundreds of systems). Then I started noticing my amp giving out (the louder and heavier bass, it would go into a protection mode).

Then the lights in my Jeep and outside all start flicking while driving the next day. The new amp latest 2 days before giving out and going into protection mode like the old one. So time to check wiring. I go to check my ground, all good. I go to check the power wire and the fuse holder was melted and burnt so bad that I had to break it in order to see if it was the fuse. The fuse is completely fine and never popped. You can see the wiring started to burn and melt which caused all the electrical problems. This company gave a bogus power wire claiming it to be 8 Gauge when it is not. I compared it to several 8 Gauge wires I bought over the weekend. I attached pictures for all the proof. Do yourself a favor and spend more money for quality products. Stay away from this company.After hours of installing all brand new speakers, stereo, amp, woofer and wires, it functioned for a few minutes then shorted out. I thought the stereo was defective and returned it. The manufacturer found the tip of the BOSS RCA Interconnect Cable inside the stereo and said that was the cause of the damage, a warranty would not be issued. I excepted the offer because I had no other choice but I wasn't able to get the shorted stereo back from the manufacturer. I was only able to send pictures of the defective cable. After hours of work installing this sound system I was extremely disappointed, to put it nicely. A company like BOSS, to decline even a cable kit refund is very telling how they treat their customers. I was stuck purchasing a new stereo and cable kit along with having to remove and re-install everything. I will never purchase any product from BOSS. (Bad Objectionable Subpar Service)I purchased the 8 guage kit and upon inspection realized it is actually closer to 12 gauge. This company is misrepresenting its gauges on the wiring.

Im an electrictian and had i used this for the amp that called for 8 gauge primary wire it would have likely startes my car on fire because the fuse they supply is to high for the actual gauge of wire. They are measuring the diameter of the entire wire INCLUDING the plactic sheathing which is NOT how you gauge wire and comply with AWG. So be VERY VERY careful using this brand. Contacted Amazon and requested refund and investigation into this items misrepresentation on its listings of these kits. Be safe everyone and pay a couple bucks more for AWG rated amp kit wire.The wire I received is pictured in the middle in the above picture. The wire to the left is Rockford Fosgate 4 Gauge wire and the wire to the right is Rockford Fosgate 8 gauge wire. The wire Boss is selling is more around a 6 Gauge wire posing in 4 Gauge casing. Admittedly a clever move on the part of Boss, this is deceitful and Amazon should be ashamed to be the listed seller of such a poor attempt to mislead its consumers. A wires gauge is objective and is not open to interpretation. Running equipment on the wrong gauge wire can damage the equipment which is why they invented the American Wire Gauge (AWG) standard. I had an appointment to have this wire installed and had to cancel due to the fact that I had to order the actual wire I needed. This is deceitful at best and fraudulent at worst. Do not trust this product. Shame on Amazon and Boss.It may feel similar to 8 ga due to the heavy insulation but in reality when I measured it it is actually a little less that 10 gauge. Luckily that’s all I needed as I’m only running 30 amps though it. This claim is dangerous however because it encourages people to run more current through it that it can take which will result in heating or even fire.I completely wasted my money on this.Davvero un ottimo acquisto, i cavi sono di ottima qualita e sono sufficienti per auto 5 porte.

I then realised the middle of the pin had broken off and is now stuck in my ?150 subwoofer! I was worried about pulling out the other end from my head unit, thankfully the cheap metal held on long enough for me to remove it and throw it away. The way they have prepared the fuse is also quite illogical. You have to cut the supplied loop wire and then use the supplied butt connectors (also not good quality) to connect it to another supplied wire. On the plus side, the kit does contain some useful parts, such as a hose to protect the cable and small cable ties and a fuse, albeit it's the wrong size for what I need. The previous kit I bought from some no-name Chinese supplier was cheaper and better quality. This Boss Audio kit is cheap and fragile.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. I ended up yanking out the wireless transmitter and receiver and hardwired the camera to the stereo.
The signal just had too much interference and it got to the point where I just stopped using it because it would frustrate me since the picture was mostly useless. It might work well in applications where there's not much metal between the two units but it sure didn't work in my Crew Cab long bed truck. I installed this in my F350 crew cab because I didn't want to have to run wires all the way from my rear bumper to the cab. It works pretty well. I get a little video noise but sometimes if I just turn the camera off and then back on again it clears up. Instead of wiring it to activate from putting the truck in reverse, I put in a toggle switch in my dash so I could turn it on while in drive or park. It might be the switch I used or the way I wired it that causes the video noise. You can adjust the angle of the camera easily. I recommend putting some Locktite on the adjustment screws. The money spent on the wireless system sure pays for itself in saving labor. Changes had to be made. Wireless so no need to run wires under the carpet. Mounts to the license plate so no drilling. Well.Both of those features turned out inadequate. The location, on the license plate is under the rear bumper and the visibility is not very good. You lose the top third of the field of view and it's shadowed. Not very good. And.once installed the picture on the head unit kept flickering on and off, mostly off. I ended up paying a shop to hardwire it anyway. Should have just bought that kind in the beginning. Much better performance now. The first one worked ok for like a month than it got cold out and it stoped working I wasn’t super upset because it was -20 outside so I let it slide on that but I replaced it in spring and two weeks later it started Flickering than eventually stopped working all together.
Sometime it will work when it wants don’t buy if u value you money to I can’t switch to another camera becaus I would have o re wire the entire system so know I have to buy another for the third time.
