I have a behringer expression pedal that I had some difficulty with, mainly due to having to buy a separate power supply because when I ran it off the Harley Benton Powerplant, it wasn't a happy camper at all. Anyway, the FV-500-H got great reviews online as far as volume pedals go, and, like I say, no power supply required. I didn't have any problem with it at all until I bought a BCB-60 pedal board, when I was disappointed to discover that it is that little bit too big to fit inside, even after removing the particular part that would allow for a wah pedal or some such. No big deal, as I would've had to evict more important pedals to allow for it anyway. The FV-500 is reasonably heavy, quite sturdy, and feels just fine under foot. It is possible to adjust the overall feel and indeed even the volume range.

Overall, I am quite happy with this purchase because it is of great quality and does exactly what it is supposed to do. As a volume pedal it works great if you want to ad more volume at different sections of a song at a live gig or if your guitar is clean sounding you can sound like a violin. After a long period of comparing volume pedals I decided to go for this one, and I am glad I did. I am still in the experimental fase, but for now I use it just after my guitar, to control the amount of gain going from a more or less clean tone until a raoring beast. That is where the control for minimum volume is very handy. This thing is build to last for a long musical relationship. One obstacle I encountered is that the tuner output is not accessible for angled connector cables (at least for mine.). I still have to integrate it into a pedal board, and I hope it is not too heavy. Anyways, this is one of the must have pedals and still for a reasonable price. It doesn't require power, which is a plus. It is very easy to use, after a bit of practice. However, about 5-6 months after purchase it began to sound scratchy when engaged - something that showed up clearly on quieter recordings. It's been well taken care of, used indoors etc, but the issue with scratchy pots returned. I would recommend investing a bit more for something reliable. There's no adjustable tension on this thing, which sucks because personally i don't like how easily the pedal travels but it does have a minimum output pot. Not usable for my needs but many will find it helpful. One thing to take note of that you won't see anywhere period except the user manual is that output 2 does NOT pass audio to the tuner out. Overall a decent volume pedal but i wish i had a bigger board so i could get something like the Boss fv500h.I use this pedal to control two mono instruments and it does the job perfectly. I have the choice of EXP, output and Input Looked at the manual it doesn't mention anything about connections to the GA-FC. Thanks. I get the following responses before and after factory resetting twice, and also with both mono and stereo cables: With the Boss FV-500H Minimum Volume setting on MINIMUM, I get the following response: 1. With the pedal in the minimum position it corresponds to the minumum parameter value pixel. 2. As I rock the pedal forwards, the parameter value increases towards the maximum parameter value. 3. Towards the second half of the pedal sweep forwards, the parameter starts reducing towards minimum again. So, what's going on?:-) Later today I'm going to test reversing the Expression Pedal polarities with crocodile clips, some jumper cables, and a breadboard, LoL. This won't harm the M13, will it? This means that: 1. The Boss and Line 6 pedal polarities are probably inverted with respect to each other. 2. Somehow the Minimum Volume setting on the FV-500H needs to be offset all the way to the maximum position in order to work with the M13. 3. I'm going to have to a custom cable made with the polarities inverted so I can use my FV-500H with the M13. With my former Boss GT-10, the Minimum Volume setting had to be on MINIMUM, and the polarities were standard. But the thing is, many people out there report that the Boss FV-500H works fine for them with the M13 just the way it is. So, I'm wondering, does anyone out there experience the same thing that I am?:-) PS, I know the behaviour of the Expression Pedal is inverted because when I call a Wah on the M13 up, by default it works backwards when I plug in the FV-500H with standard polarities and the Minimum Volume setting on MAXIMUM. Sadly, no one I know owns an EX-1, otherwise I could borrow it for testing. Somehow it does not work!:-( I can't explain it either. My Boss FV-500H puts out a resistance range from 0 ohm (Toe) to 8.5 kohm (Heel) with the Minimum Volume set to MAX. As long as I don't change it the FV500L works fine. If I alter the min vol pot it does mean I have to re-set the pedal as an expression pedal by unplugging it etc.or I get behaviour similar to what you have described. Don't know if anyone else has used the FV500L? I think it's coz the impedance needs to range up to 10k ohm, but the FV-500H only offers up to 8.5k ohm, in seemingly the wrong direction too! But since it's been working for you, I might sell my FV-500H and go give it a shot!:-) Either that or I'll buy a pair of Line 6 EX-1s.
