The design allows you to position your baby or toddler so that they’re either facing you or facing away from you, and this is something we’ve found very helpful to have.Many pushchairs offer limited handle height adjustment, but the Vigour is well suited to couples with some variance in height. It is a real plus for taller parents, as it means they can take control of the pushchair without the need to slouch continually and, in turn, strain their body. Britax has made the handlebar very comfortable grab and holds when maneuvering the pushchair too, so needless to say, we think you’ll be pleased with the handlebar’s all-around great feel. It merely takes a light foot placed on either one of the two brake levers to lock the pushchair down when on uneven ground. The device remains locked-down safely until the foot brake rereleased. Handling this pushchair is a breeze, and it can even drive with just the light touch of a few fingers. This model has an excellent turning circle for fast changes in direction when on the go, surprisingly being almost capable of turning 360 degrees on the spot. You do need to make sure your front wheels appropriately unlocked before expecting excellent tracking and setting, however, but this is not difficult to do (although something some people may not be aware of when trying it out.) We feel that the Vigour handles superbly for what it is. The large wheels may make some tight spaces in clothing shops and the like a little more cramped to get the pushchair through, but all-in-all it will fit through small shops and restaurant environments very well. It takes curbs, bumps, and steps very impressively, which can attribute to that wide stance and elegant input from the four-wheel suspension. In addition to the main hoop, there is a convenient pouch hidden in the back of the seat for storing more valuable items like a phone, keys, money, and cards.
It would be ideal as other models do offer this feature for faster access- however, it can still Ibe eradicated, which is always an option. Extras like cup or bottle holders, pannier bags, and the like are not available with the Vigour, but there are some great alternatives to be found for use with it, which are quite useful. There is little which can fault about the quality that Britax is offering here, and we believe that it will endure better than some of it’s class contenders such as the Bugaboo range. The Vigour has had it’s problems in the past with it’s early releases, unfortunately. Many of the previous models were using air-filled tires that wore-out rather quickly, and so Britax found themselves with some disgruntled customers. Since then, Britax has been quick to issue replacements and eventually replace all new models with a more durable wheel solution. This change from inflatable wheels does lower the wheels’ shock absorbency a bit, but what’s lost here is undoubtedly made up for in the exceptional suspension above each wheel. Britax made the right decision here by eliminating the old wheels’ problems and has turned a delightful all-around pushchair into a real award winner! However, after assessing the Vigour for it’s over-all safety features and downfalls, we found no nasty surprises. Having the four-wheel version is preferred because it ensures better stability of the pushchair, especially on uneven surfaces or when your toddler is growing older and restless. The back wheels are also very thick, which is suitable for the all-terrain activity, and their enhanced girth adds to the Vigour’s overall stability. The brakes function on all four wheels, both front and back at once, which is just another of the further excellent benefits of this model.

Both the main pushchair and the matching Companion car seat are very well and thoughtfully (except for the minor aspects already discussed) designed and constructed. However, for the price that this pushchair retails for today (especially online), it is undoubtedly an incredible buy that will suit most parents’ needs and wants exceptionally well.
Still, the Britax Vigour is undoubtedly one of those models that delight the majority of its users. We are having a very hard time adjusting the straps to fit our 18 Ibs baby, although the straps should fit a 40 Ibs baby. It were helpful to have an instruction booklet, which does not come with the stroller(only a brief pamphlet about how to attach the carseat and seat, and assembly of the pieces). Most reviews we saw were about the car seat (i.e. using the stroller as a travel system). I had a Peg Milano, Graco, Circo. My friends have MacLarens and Peg Pliko P3, so I can safely compare this stroller to all those models. We bought this as a strolelr (i.e. using the frame and the seat) 1. The stroller is REALLY heavy. (The Bugaboo is half its weight). It is not practical to fold with the seat attahced becasue you need to be RAMBO to be able to lift the thing up and into the trunk.Although if you were doing this to save space in your home, it does stand on its own quite nicely.However, when pushing it, you do not feel how heavy it is. You can even push it with one hand. 2. Having to remove the seat each time you need to fit the stroller in the trunk is quite complicated. By the way, the seat doesn't fold. The wheels snap off the frame quite easily. The frame is pretty light. 3. The seat is not as cushioned as the Peg and graco. 4. The seat is narrower than all the strollers mentioned above. Our baby is 50 percentile weight. I can't imagine how a 90 percentile baby would be comfortable in the thing. 5. The adjustment handle is really wonderful. All the recline positions are very useful. However it does NOT recline to a full 180 degrees. The Peg and Graco do. (Maclaren does not). 6. The sun cover is WAY too small. When your child is older you would like to put a snack on a tray while traveling outside. And it is nice to have a sippy cup there for your baby to sip when they're thirsty. Of course you could purchase a unviversal cup holder or snack tray. Will let you know which one fits once I buy it. 8.
The bar is really small and narrow (Bugaboo a lot larger), so I don't know if any of those universal attachments will fit onto it. This bar comes off, but it is nice to have it for the child to hold while traveling. 9. The wheels are totally awesome and can weather through anything.We have friends that change the orientation or completely remove their outdoor mat in order to enter their home with the strolelr. You don't need to do so with this stroller. 10. The stroller looks amazing, so high- tech 11. Watch the price of this blue one- apparently not a popular color cause it costs less than the rest. A note for the manufacturer- here are some ways to improve the stroller: 1. Why not make the under-basket larger. The unit came packaged well as most Britax items that we have owned. We used this initially as a convertible car seat as the Britax Companion infant seat snaps out of the SUV and right into this unit. Everything worked great and both units attached themselves with no issues with only two simple pull levers. Once our little baby grew out of the infant seat we switched over to a Britax Marathan (highly recommend) car seat and these do not snap into strollers (due to weight and size) and we had to use the included baby seat for this stroller. This is our largest complaint as the baby seat that comes with this stroller is as simple as a cloth bucket seat. The cover has very poor sun coverage and we find ourselves often placing a towel over the top to prevent the sun from hitting our baby's face while outside. The cover just does not go up enough to do it's job unless the sun is behind the stroller.
There are also no provisions for snapping on additional blankets, covers,etc to extend this protection. Now the seat can attach either front facing or rear facing which is convenient and is very lightweight. The unit also folds down with ease for easy storage or travel. While fully open we can easily pop it into the rear of a Lexus GX470 without collapsing it. SUV's or cars with shorter ceiling heights will need to collapse the unit which only takes seconds and then this unit is only 12 inches tall. Large oversize wheels add to the stability of the unit while adding an aggressive look to the stroller. There are no cup holders though which can come in handy during outings. Aftermarket units are available. Comfort wise the seat is very well made though a bit thin. This does two things; 1) Does not get as hot as other baby stroller seats which is a plus, 2) Does not offer as much cushion as other strollers. So,it is a trade off of one or the other which requires Mom and Dad to decide which is more important. Would be purchase it again. For an infant convertible stroller-yes. Recommendations Add further sun protection to this unit. Even if it was a snap on blanket to cover the entire unit for sun protection. This would really add to an otherwise great stroller.
