ThanksThe zoom on camcorder is brill and so easy to transfer videos onto the disc--i couldnt get over how small and compact it is and i also thought that the station to charge it and download pic's would have been bigger than it actually was but that is also small and compact.There arent to many buttons to fiddle with like on the other recorder so this also makes it easier to work.after all.you want a pic there and then not ten mins later when you've found out where all the buttons are!! great little machine thank you.Its easy to use and once I worked out how to turn off the terrible electronic sounds I enjoy using the touch screen. It takes awful photos of the same quality I get from my mobile phone but since I did not buy it for this purpose I will let Sony off on that one. It seems to take forever to auto focus and if you are shooting moving targets it has trouble keeping the focus and you get dizzy viewing the video afterwards. The SOFTWARE SUPPLIED is the worst. It installs ok on my Acer laptop which runs with Windows XP but after many many hours and liasing with Sony online I have not yet managed to get the clips onto a DVD. So I will have to get my own software also. Not great.When I first bought this I gave it a 5 star review as it ticked all of the boxes. 2 years on however and it has broken. The LCD display is now mostly yellow and Sony are unwilling to help. Apparently this is a common fault with the swivelling LCD and the fragile ribbon cable inside. ?300 for a product that lasts 2 years from a company that are unwilling to even 'examine' the 'mint condition' unit does not make for a superb customer experience.
