Dometic will talk to me directly with a PO from Camping World (CW) but CW will not give me that information. I am sure the product is great and I hope to be able to enjoy it if I ever get it.

This is the first time I have ordered from CW and most likely the last. My only complaint is that there is no weather shield. For my use this is not a big deal but it bothers me that it is not sold as advertised. I don't know whether Camping World or Dometic writes the ad copy but the first item displayed in the selection criteria of size, color, etc.I chose vinyl. Folks, there is NO weather shield on this awning and if you look closely at the picture on the web site there is no weather shield shown. I know what a weather shield looks like because the awning on my fifth wheel has one. If you are going to keep your RV stored uncovered with the awning rolled up you might want a weather shield. One could easily be made in a variety of ways. I bought the heavy duty, tall support option which includes a center support which the installer says is not necessary but is still nice. Something is severely binding in the center support and some spray lube helped but did not fix the problem. This will require later attention. I can't comment on the other support options. Just after the install we had a deluge rainfall and it sheds water well and is nice and tight. Other than the above problems, perfectly fine. An awning is a great thing to have and a previous owner of the MH had removed the original one, supports and all, or is just deteriorated. The existing holes matched the new hardware and installation was great with a professional installer. This is two person job. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. By the way, there are very few suppliers of these awnings and I was unable to find reviews on any of them. However, the installer (over 30 years experience) said the quality is similar across brands. The awning leaks along the entire length where the metal shield is attached to the fabric.

While sitting on the deck on a sunny day one can look up at the awning and all one sees is sun light comming through the stiching where the metal shield is attached and you can not sit out on the deck durning a light rain because you will get wet from the leaks from the stiching of the metal shield. Would never purchase again or recommend this style I ordered the awning one month ago and it said that it was in-stock, however, after I ordered it online and the suggested ship date passed, I had to call and find out that camping world has no information from the manufacturer as to when I may expect to receive my awning. I reached out to Camping World. They said they'd follow up within two days. It's been a week. Hard to rate something that you've received absolutely no information on a month after purchasing!!! I'd giver it a zero if I could. When I measure middle of support to support I get 15'.You will need a 14 ft awning.We have the hardware arms sorted by load capability (determined by awning length) and by arm length (awning rail to floorline distance).
