So if you have two buildings and want to save some money on your overall cost, you can not go wrong here. I am still trying to convince the cable company to give me a commission because they were looking for a solution for people in my situation.Had to match it to my Uniden WDXI3077. Tried for 3 days late at night when I got home. Directions in manual did not work. The moment you plug in the DRX100, it immediately starts blinking(manual denotes it would do so AFTER the register button is pressed.) Would press base x 5 sec to put in registration mode, phone would then beep continuously, pressed the DRX100 registration button and released after 2 second as per the manual, but the DRX100 would never stop blinking. It just slowed down a little when the phone stopped beeping. It was not paired when brought to a distance. Turned off a lot of electronics and did pairing at different distances and held the pairing button down longer(supposed to hold until light flashes but it was flashing before I held it down), to no avail. Finally, I plugged in the DRX100 close to the WDXI3077, the DRX100 started blinking by itself again. There was no beep from the phone(no page). I released both buttons(still no beep) and waited. At about 90 seconds, the DRX100 stopped blinking FOR THE FIRST TIME. Waited a few minutes unplugged and then took it to the end of the house where when it was plugged and LIT and DID NOT BLINK !!! It was paired and my phone went from 2 bars to 4. Whew !!! Product works great but it almost stymied me. Have to take off 2 stars for that (at least). Please try again later. Fast forward another year and Uniden has a new 1780 series with celllink - connects to your cellphone via bluetooth - which sold me on the idea of getting new uniden phones as well as two range extenders (one for the front garden and one for the back garden) allowing me or my wife to have one phone in the garden to answer the home phone and either of our cellphones while they're charging, not risking dropping or losing our fragile cellphones while gardening, and practically eliminating missed calls on anything. Received the extenders today. Installation was easy. For our series we had to press find handset on the base for 5 secs, press connect on the extender, wait a bit and the LED on the extender goes from flashing to solid, which means it is registered. The range of the extender is 300ft plus line of sight. Our house is elongated and placed perpendicular on the elongated property, with the base station in the kitchen, about 25 feet into the house, with two-three walls in the way to the front garden depending on the angle. Before test with the new 1780 base station by itself in the kitchen, we actually had excellent coverage compared to our older phones. It gets spottier when there are more trees in the way and but still worked fine with the phone's built-in antenna facing the house. Placed the second extender on a ground level window sill and get a solid signal going downhill to where our property drops off more steeply; where there was no signal before. Overall pleased. We undeniably have better coverage. Simple product, easy to setup that does what it needs to do. Hope it lasts for a very long time.Please try again later. Please try again later. The phone in the front got reception but it wasn't very good. We also had some dead spots.

People kept calling back thinking their cell phones dropped their calls. I did some research and instead of bringing the base to the front or completely buying a different model phone, we tried the DRX100. The step up was very different from the manual. After pressing the sync buttons on the base and on the DRX10, our phones never beeped, lights kept blinking, and then finally stopped. I placed the device in the middle of the room between the front phone and the base. I took the phone across the street to make a call and it worked without static. Reception was great. WhiskeyFellow 4.0 out of 5 stars It had it so messed up even he couldn't figure it out, and he wrote the thing. That's what this instruction book is like. They refer to things that don't exist, or at least they don't exist as a native English speaker would understand, which meant that a set-up that should have taken maybe 5 minutes instead took over an hour. Aside from that, this repeater works AWESOME. In fact, it has a stronger signal in my house than my AC router. There are no external antennas to deal with, it simply plugs into any electrical outlet and you're good to go. All I wanted was for the signal to extend to my back deck so I could sit outside and surf. This accomplishes that. What I didn't expect was how much stronger the signals were in my basement. This would get 5-stars if the instructions made sense. Cheers! The easiest way to set this up if you don't have one-button setup on your router is to hard-wire it. Forget the wireless instructions. They'll drive you up the wall.After that, it works fine as an extender for your WiFi.I originally thought there may be a problem with the router, but that is not the case. Sent back because I gave up when I started getting really mad at inability to set this thing up or find any semblance of instructions that made sense online or otherwise.Save your money and stay away from this product and anything this company sellsI contacted dodocool and asked for help, they responded with some questions, I answered and to date never heard back or got helpNo more buffering or lost connection. Would definitely buy again.It actually was able to reach this but the signal without the extender but it was weak and often dropped the connection or slow speed. I installed this Dodocool wifi extender about halfway away. I now get great connectivity for my laptop. The initial setup is to: - Plug the Range Extender into an outlet (I put them side-by-side) very close to the modem. You DO NOT NEED to use an Ethernet cord to set this extender - Wait for the solid green LED power light of the extender - Setup the extender in the repeater mode - Press the WPS button on the extender for 2 seconds. I have bought other dodocool items before and I have come to trust to provide good quality products at a decent price point. Will buy from them again.The wifi there usually gets one bar and then we lose a connection randomly if connected. I purchased this as it was on sale and had decent reviews. It was easy to setup and the manual was simple to follow. Once I got it up and running, my WiFi signal was now full bars in my former dead spots. I've been using this for about three weeks now and it has not slowed down or caused any issues. I'm very pleased and got exactly what I wanted.Sometimes I spend time not too far away from my building and was looking for an extender to help with that. I was looking around amazon and found this. The price was reasonable so I bought it. It arrived quickly and was happy about that. The box was small and a plain brown colour. Inside is the extender, a manual and a warranty card.

The extender is made out of plastic and will take up two sockets just because of the design. On one side is a receptacle for an ethernet cable. On the other side is a power button. One side has the wps and the reset button. I looked in the manual and wanted to setup the wireless repeater mode. I plugged in the extender and it powered up. I held the wps button for 1 second and the light started flashing. I then went to my router and and held the WPS button for a few seconds and the two devices got connected. I connected my phone to it and noticed a pretty good signal. I went outside and walked all the way to the end of my hallway near the garbage room. I was hoping to still get a signal because I regularly dont get it there. I got a signal initially but then it got disconnected. I went back to my apartment and stayed connected for a while. I noticed that it does disconnect occasionally. The reason I took two stars off is because I felt there were many things that could have been done better with this product. One would be the instructions. It took me a good half hour to understand it. Some parts are convoluted and not clear. The issue with the extender disconnecting is a big issue as it is not reliable. It does extend the wifi but disconnects so that is not reliable either. With this product another network is created instead of extending the current one which some may not like. Overall, I would say spend some more money and get a better WIFi extender.I've been using it to get some better coverage in the basement and rooms which are farther away from the router. The unit works well, however there is some speed loss with the repeater. This is unavoidable with all types of repeaters and for the price it works quite well. I haven't had any drop outs or connections issues with the unit since I've installed it and it is very discreet and can by hidden quite easily.We used it to pick up our WiFi signal, and disperse it better through our house.

If parts of your home or apartment don’t get a good Wi-Fi signal, a wireless extender can offer a boost. The Wi-Fi extender connects to your existing Wi-Fi at a location that does get a good connection and then rebroadcasts its own signal(s), improving the quality of Wi-Fi connections within its range. If you already own a decent router and simply want to improve Wi-Fi and boost the Wi-Fi signal in one or two extra rooms, an extender might be just the band-aid you’re looking for. The catch with Wi-Fi extenders is the placement. The quality of the extender’s network can’t be any better than the quality of its backhaul connection to the router—which means you need the extender to be much closer to the router than you might think. You also likely have to choose which of the two networks to connect to when you’re walking around in your home. Mesh-compatible extenders use one name for your network, which allows you to roam around your home without having to manually disconnect from one network and join the next. It all happens automatically, so you don’t have to fiddle with settings once you’ve joined the network. Some mesh-compatible extenders work only with routers from the same manufacturer, while others work with any Wi-Fi router (even the one from your Internet service provider). One final warning: Don’t even consider extenders that don’t use 802.11ac. Old, 802.11n extenders are even cheaper, but when such extenders are running, they significantly decrease the speed of all devices on your Wi-Fi; in addition, for devices connected by Wi-Fi to the extender, such models provide less than half of the base router’s speed. This step left us with a half-dozen devices from Asus, Netgear, and TP-Link. How we tested Wi-Fi signal extenders Instead of just testing for the maximum throughput from a single laptop, we used six laptops, spaced around our New York test facility, to simulate the real-world activity of a busy home network. The cellar of our office building has the luxury of space, as well as a mix of Wi-Fi challenges: masonry walls and drywall construction, open spaces, glass windows, and metal-framed doors. We used a TP-Link Archer A7 (our budget router pick at the time of our testing) as the baseline for our tests; it’s an excellent router in a small space such as a townhome or apartment, but its signals are stretched a little thin in our test space. Because these tests simulated real-world traffic, they did a better job of modeling everyday performance compared with a tool like iPerf, an artificial testing tool that moves data from one machine to another as fast as possible.
