eagleeye motion sensor ms14a manual

At a minimum, a Transceiver (TM751 or RR501) or ActiveHome Pro Interface (CM15A) is required to test the EagleEye. The EagleEye is a weatherproofed version of the MS13A HawkEye II.After it is tripped, the EagleEye times out for 10 seconds before it can be triggered again. The default for motion detection is at all times (day and night). The default Off command delay time when no more motion is detected is 1 minute.A few seconds later, the EagleEye will timeout. It indicates this to you with a longer flash. You want to determine which code you are using before you begin programming, because the EagleEye will only wait a few seconds for you to begin entering the new code.If the programming procedure fails, you can start it over. The total number of flashes equals the unit number.A few seconds later, the EagleEye will timeout. It indicates this to you with a longer flash. You want to decide on the code to use before you start programming, because the EagleEye will only wait a few seconds after it reports its current setting for you to begin entering the new code.If the programming procedure fails, you can start it over. The default setting is to detect motion at all times.Release the button. One flash represents motion detection at all times. Two flashes represent motion detection only at night.A few seconds later, the EagleEye will timeout. It does this with one long flash. If the programming procedure fails, you can just start it over again. The default amount of time that will pass before the OFF command is transmitted is 1 minute. The following procedure allows you to change this setting.Release the button immediately.A few seconds later, the EagleEye will timeout. It indicates this to you with a longer flash.Have this all decided before trying to program, because the sensor will timeout quickly if no changes are made.If the programming procedure fails, you can start over.

If someone walks into an area protected by a sensor with Passive Infrared (PIR) Detection, then their body heat is detected, and the sensor is triggered. When the temperature is returned to its normal level, the motion sensor resets.Motion Direction. For best results, mount the EagleEye so the person entering the area cuts across its field of view. Do not mount the EagleEye near heating or cooling sources (heat vents, air conditioners, direct or reflected sunlight) as this may falsely trigger it.For example, you have a motion sensor controlling a kitchen light. They are both set to A1. At dusk, this motion sensor turns on a night light set to A2, which it then turns Off command at dawn. This is perfect for porch lights and night lights. The lamp that will be controlled by this feature should not be located near the EagleEye. The light turns off, and the light level in the room drops. The cycle repeats. Using wireless radio frequency (RF), the EagleEye Motion Sensor sends signals to an X10 16 Device RF Base transceiver (sold separately), which then passes them on to your house wiring, all in fractions of a second. The EagleEye has a built-in photocell that detects when it's dark.

It can save energy by turning lights on only when it detects motion in the dark; if you prefer, you can set it to transmit every time it sees motion, even if it's not dark. The light will automatically turn off when it no longer detects motion for the length of time you specify, between 1 and 256 minutes. A locking screw prevents the easy removal of batteries, so you can rest easily, knowing your home is safe and secure. The EagleEye Motion Sensor requires 2 AAA alkaline batteries, sold separately. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. JosephN 5.0 out of 5 stars It’s been around for longer than that. Even though smartphone apps and WiFi switches have exploded in popularity in recent years, I’m still holding on to this old technology. I’ve converted most of my home lighting to WiFi switching but my outdoor lighting works best with one of these. Soffit lights on the front entry way and garage screen enclosure are still working great with the MS14A. Just put one of these anywhere you want. I even have a extra one by the front door that works with a plug in sounder module. Great for the backyard when ordering food or waiting for someone.I paired this unit with the antenna Transceiver unit and the Remote Chime, so for 50 bucks, you've got a pleasant uninvited guest doorbell system. Needless to say, within the first two weeks, the chime rings at 1 am. Turns out after all the hubbub that the cat had run into our space heater and burnt some fur( a very furry cat). This luckily set off the alarm and I was able to go down to my basement to find a heavy burnt hair smoke smell. Smoke alarm missed it, X-10 caught it.

Take the battery powered Motion Detector and a Wireless Transceiver Module (TM751) and you have a complete system for controling lights. Just plug the cord from the lights into the TM751. Now whenever someone walks into my kitchen, the under-cabinet lights turn on. I programmed it to shut them off after 30 minutes. The unit is programmed by a sequence of presses on the two buttons. It's a little tricky but the instructions are clear. Write down the steps because in a year or so you will need to do it again when you replace the batteries.I have been moving my home automation from X10 to Zwave, but I can't get away from these X10 units because they are so reliable. You get a couple of years out of the batteries also. Shipping was 4 days instead of 2 days even though it says Prime. The box has some strange water marks on the outside, But the inside appears fine. Will follow up if I have any troubles after installation. PS this device has a screw that holds the battery cover in place. All my others had just a snap in cover. They have traveled with me and I am so used to turning lights on and off with a remote I would not know how to even work a switch:-) This serves the purpose of sitting on my porch and turning my porch light on and off when someone walks up. It wasn't easy to program but it wasn't that difficult. You just have to pay close attention to the wording in the directions as everything is pressing a sequence of buttons in a certain sequence to achieve programming.Probably best for inside use.Range to receiver is quite short so positioning it at the end of the drive was difficult. In order to navigate out of this carousel please use your heading shortcut key to navigate to the next or previous heading. The Transceiver receives the signals from the Motion Sensor and passes them onto your house wiring. These signals are then received by X10 lamp, appliance, or wall switch modules to control lights (or appliances) around the home. If you set the EagleEye Motion Sensor to a unique code (House Code A and Unit Code 1), then walk into the room where the EagleEye Motion Sensor is located, a lamp module set to A1 will turn on. As long as you keep moving, the light will stay on, and when you stop moving, the light turns off after the amount of time you select. The signals transmitted onto your house wiring can also be received by the two-way Computer Interface to initiate macros. The Computer Interface then performs a sequence of events that you've set it up to do. Set the delay from 1 minute to 255 minutes. Now you can have the flexibility to have your lights, appliances, or even Macros turn off just 60 seconds after you leave the room or turn off the lights!. Specifications Up to 20 ft. range. Operation Details Normally the EagleEye Motion Sensor will turn on an X10 module set to its' code, however when used with the CM11A 2-way Computer Interface (included with ActiveHome) the EagleEye Motion Sensor becomes much more powerful. Instead of turning on a module set to A1, you can set A1 to initiate a macro that performs a sequence of events. For example you enter the room, the table lamp can turn on and dim to 70, and the stereo can turn off 30 minutes later. Built in photocell works like a watchful eye and will turn lights on and off at dusk and sunrise. This will save you energy as it only detects motion in the dark. April 22, 2019 Won't work for me. Works fine at short distances (25 ft. ) inside my home. But on my driveway, behind the wall of my aluminum sided mobile home, 35 feet away, NO. I am using a TM751 transceiver which apparently does not have sufficient sensitivity. Or the transmitted signal is too weak. Maybe on a wood sided home it might be OK. Wireless Transmitters are control devices that broadcast X10 radio frequency (RF) signals to Transceivers, which plugs into standard wall outlets. The Wireless Transceiver then converts the RF signal into an X10 signal and transmits it through your home's electrical wiring to X10 Receivers. When an X10 Receiver receives a command, it responds by turning a light, appliance or other electrical device On or Off, and sometimes Dim or Bright. It's So Easy To Automate Your Home. X10 started manufacturing home automation and security products in the late 70s and has been one of the smart home standards since its inception. X10 utilized powerline language to transmit control signals anywhere in your house over your existing 110V electrical lines, so you can control lights and appliances throughout your home without running new wires. Simply add a controller (transmitter) at one electrical outlet and add another module (receiver) at any other outlet and you have remote control of that module. Choose from plug-in, wired-in and wireless models. This enables you to have the remote and automated control of lights and appliances from anywhere on your property. The convenience and security of controlling all your lights and appliances from anywhere in your house is simple and inexpensive. We offer smart lighting, DIY and Pro-grade security systems, structured wiring products, thermostats and intercom systems. RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p460bo760jtb93Feog4d72f2Bf7603E-13f301024fe-0x103- This was a surprising garage sale find. The lady I bought them from said they probably worked because they were her dads. These items look pretty decent considering the age. I am not even sure if the third item goes with it(the metal piece on the cord) But it came in the same box and seems like it probably has something to do with it(so it does today) The two finders are an Eagle Silent Sixty and a Hummingbird Sixty. It appears like someone has rewired the Hummingbird and the other looks untampered with. Auction 7279 Only what is pictured in included. The transducer cable is cut.
