The Lariat comes with bigger tires than the standard F150, so I've always been suspect of the shifting. It feels odd at times. The Edge greatly improved the shifting after I put in the exact tire size. It is noticeable. The engine is also more responsive along with improved torque. I only used the default setting, but I'm obviously impressed. The install is simple and well explained with the instructions. The included dash mount needed slight modification as the right side edge was too long forcing the device sit at an angle. Otherwise, it is a simple install and looks great.Wow did it really wake it up. I already have a cold air intake, which gave it some pep but the evo has taken it to the next level. The shifting is excellent and so far i have gained 2.2 mpg on my first tank of gas using the program 1. I am now trying program 2 and will update later. If you are on the fence about buying this programmer I would say give it a shot i jave been very impressed. Also the install took about 15 minutes.So I decided to give this tuner a shot, have had mixed success with tunes on other vehicles in the past. I was really surprised. The towing tune claims to advance the timing and adjust the transmission shift points. The improvement is quite significant, the truck towing is markedly improved.I needed something to monitor my transmission fluid temperature since my '08 F150 doesnt have a gauge to monitor that feature. All I had to do was plug it in and set up the display and immediately accomplished my goal. I run the programmer in Tow mode and immediately noticed firmer shift points over stock programming. I havent noticed any gas mileage improvements, but overall this is a great programmer that fills all my needs.I have an 05 f150 4.6L and originally it was pretty gutless with my bigger tires but now that I added this it woke my truck up big time. It shifts so much smoother and faster. Also it took my MPG from 12 to anywhere between 14-18 MPG with no other upgrades.

I set mine on level two and it just flat out goes now.Didn't really expect a gas mileage increase but I'll update if it happens. I keep pretty good track of these things. Early Update: Seems to be getting better mileage towing and not. Really better at holding a higher gear longer before the shift when towing. Super happy so far.Have it on level 1 for the tranny only. Shifts much smoother and i can see my average mpg instant mpg oil temp amd tranny temp. Level 2 is for towing and can use unleaded or mid grade. Level 3 i havent tried yet but will soon. I have the 3.31 rear end and i still do burn outs with this.Running level 2 Towing and slight increase in torque. It's alright. don't think this is going to transform your truck into something new. I love the blade shape - very useful. It's stout with a strong tip but a large belly and gimping in 2 places on the spine for fine control. I don't eat that many fish while camping so I hate to bring a dedicated fillet knife..I think I can do an acceptable-enough job with this knife that I won't be bringing a fillet knife on my next trip. It's big and sturdy enough to take on all the tasks I previously used my mora companion for, too..except baton-ing which is not something I really ever need to do, anyway. Considering the build quality and the blade steel, I feel this knife is an excellent value. I only have 2 small gripes. The first is the weight. It's pretty heavy. If they could trim maybe an ounce off it, that would push it to 5 stars. Also holding it back is the pocket clip. The knife is too heavy and the clip too small for it to be secure. Also the handles are fairly smooth so they don't grip in your pocket which doesn't help, either. Fine for just walking around but, getting in and out of kayaks and canoes, I'd be concerned about losing my knife. I took my clip off and will carry it in a belt pouch - problem solved. The aesthetics of the clip don't work for me, either.and it was a bit uncomfortable on my hand when using the knife, too. Not into the clip, lol.The materials and build quality are excellent and it came in a nice box with foam and a nice little cloth bag with a rope closure at the end. However if i had to nitpick a little it does have a few minor flaws the grind on the edge of the knife isn't centered evenly and the spacing between each side of the knife when closed is a little bit tighter on one side than the other and the wood handles feel more like plastic than wood to me but that's my opinion. It works, it turns on, beeps when it powers on and when you touch the buttons as it should, but the display itself doesn't work, only certain parts work as if it doesn't have enough power.
