I cant believe I used to pay to rent these things!The picture quality and brightness is excellent even with lights turned on. I am very happy with this equipment.On a Mac you don't even need the USB key plugged in to the Mac. It just works across the wireless network and downloaded connection software. They are working on an update for Lion but it works great on Snow Leopard and HDMI and VGA will work fine on a Lion Mac in the interim. Plenty bright enough, and it also does automatic keystone correction, i.e., if you're projecting at a horizontal or vertical angle, it'll automatically adjust to create a perfect rectangular display on the wall. I used the 1750 on a client implementation recently (waiting for the 1775 to be delivered). The 1750 is a slightly lower resolution and it doesn't offer wireless connectivity or HDMI (just VGA or USB). To me, those additions are worth the premium. Great for small group presentations, training, etc.It didn't work. I spent a couple hours on the phone with the technician. He sent me another one and I returned the first one. The second one didn't even turn on - the overheat light came on immediately and no light came out of it. I had a camera repair technician there that day so he tried it on his computer. I spent an hour with Epson tech support and they sent me another one. For the third one, I had my friend who owns one of these try it. Remove the two black screws holding in the top blower fan. The rear is screwed through the fan and the front is a nozzle bracket to direct the airflow directly onto the bulb when it is assembled. The second fan motor is held into its bracket with two stainless steel colored screws along the right side. Remove those screws and gently rock the top edge of the fan towards you.
