Web.Terrestrial 4.0 out of 5 stars It's use is intuitive. My favorite features so far are: 1- You can look up verbs (that you may have seen written) in conjugated form, and this dictionary will return the regular (infinitive??) form of the verb. Meaning, you don't have to guess what the regular form is. I haven't even read the instructions yet and it gets 4 stars. What happened to the other star. Well, the physical feel is kind of cheap feeling (compared to japanese dictionaries). Nor does it look particularly good. Lastly it'd be good to have a little lip on the lid to make opening this thing easier. Also, it'd be nice to be able pick exactly which conjugated form you'd like to look at instead of having to cycle through all of them. I don't think it's possible to go back to the previous one you looked at. But all of this may be possible, and may be in the instructions.I hate complicated instructions (or so I perceived), so I just jumped in and followed the tutorial, then started using the dictionary system and simply played with it. Be aware that sometimes the buttons can stick when pressed on an edge. The screen will just flash, so just adjust the button back and the screen goes back to normal. Worth the little bit of extra time as you get used to it. The more you use it, the easier and faster it gets. This is a timesaver and a learning tool at a very fair price. Our language department is dictionary-specific (MUST use Merriam-Webster) so this electronic dictionary was perfect. The only issue I've had is with SOME verb translations - where the book dictionary offers multiple verb forms the electronic only offers one or two choices. Because Spanish can have SO MANY verb forms, this is kind of a pain.

It's small, which would make it great for traveling, BUT it's also not the most substantial thing I've carried around. While my front cover is still attached, I can see how it might easily break if jostled or put with heavier items. Overall I'm super happy with this purchase - it's well worth it when facing a timed exam.I use it constantly while watching TV, reading. You can get pretty much all regular vocabulary. Not much of the Mexican Spanish that often can be heard in the movies or telenovelas though, but I've already bought the regular Mexican Spanish dictionary for that. At first I was disapointed with the batteries - after less then 2 months have to be changed. I went to Radio Shack and was shocked - pretty expensive. My only beef with this dictionary now is that cover broked off on one side - I even haven't noticed when. So now I have to be very careful if I want to take it anywhere with me, so I mostly keep it at home next to the remote control for TV.I need it because I'm learning to speak Spanish. The dictionary is great. Amazon keep on sending what people need. Have a great day.Only the 'I' form of the verb is listed which is limiting. I ended up guessing at the 'you, he, she, it' forms of the verbs instead. I did enjoy learning new words and definitions with the hangman game. You guess the word then have the option to look up the definition. Its a fun way to build vocabulary.I think it's a good product to have if it's needed. The price is also good for the product itself. Esperaba que el vocabulario incluido en el producto fuese mas extenso pero no es asi necesariamente. Mas sin embargo, el vocabulario existente es de suficiente ayuda, pienso yo. No esta tan mal el producto. Por el precio, creo que es un buen producto que obtener si se necesita.I don't use it any more. I bought a Sony eReader to replace it (the eReader I bought has built in dictionaries for English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Dutch).
It would have been nice to know beforehand that it didnt translate things like brother in law, etcGreat section for hospital and other situations.
