Simply put at this point in time of LCD and its technology in January of 2006 this monitor is for the price, very hard to beat. 8ms response time, 700:1 contrast ratio, DVI hook up (with included cord), and a 1280x1024 native resolution. The lines are clean, everything is laid out well and the monitor is nice and bright.

Top that off with a three hundred dollar price tag, fast shipping and a 3 year warranty and I have to tell you that this monitor gives me no buyers remorse whatsoever, and in the PC GAMING world that my friend is a rarity. Cons: none Overall Review: I have exclusively played Battlefield 2 (HIGH SETTINGS) on this monitor for hours and hours at a time. The first monitor failed with vertical lines and dead pixels. The scond monitor just plain failed.power light is on, but nobody is home. Let's hope the third time is the charm. The return policy is poor. Rated one of the best gaming monitors around. Cons: Started to make static sounds around april time and the screen would glow brighter, then fade back to normal. After 30 mins of this it turned off.From that point it wouldn't work at all. Turning it on would see the screen for a few seconds then the crackling sounds and it would turn off. So I contacted Hyundai and arranged an RMA which was pretty painless. Paid 15 bucks to get it shipped out to them and waited 3 weeks to get it back. Well I got it back, no crackling sound, stays turned on its all good.but wait whats this!!DEAD PIXELS, so I get a refurbed screen after I paid retail for the product. Cons: After about 8 months, several vertical lines appeared on the right hand side of the display. These lines constantly change colors and cannot be removed or corrected. Monitor is unusable after 8 months of use.
Overall Review: This vertical line problem has occurred on a very large amount of these displays and is a huge inconvenience when it happens. No dead pixels, very good clarity and the response time works great with games. I have not tried the speakers, but I didn't buy the monitor with any intention of using them. The only minor thing is that a pin needs to be removed to change the height of the monitor, and the pin basically became worthless after a few days. I can still raise and lower the height, but the monitor will move if you push down on the top. However, this is a very minor thing. Built in USB ports would have been nice, but I don't miss them since I have a usb port in the front of my computer. One feature that I especially like is both DVI and analog imputs. I am using the DVI now, but like having the option of converting this to analog if I get a second larger monitor since my GeForce 6800 video card supports dual monitors.
