Unscrew the safety cap (1) by turning anti-clockwise. Please note the cap cannot be unscrewed when the unit is pressurized. Using the measuring jug and funnel (6) fill the machine with up to 1500ml of water. This should be sufficient to steam clean for approximately 45 minutes. Once full, replace the safety cap by turning clockwise and fasten tightly. Attach the accessory or floor cleaning tool you require to the machine. (See page 4) Now plug the machine into the electrical outlet and switch on. Two lights should illuminate. The red light (3) is a power indicator. The orange light (4) indicates that the machine is building steam pressure. When the machine is first turned on this light will illuminate. The machine takes up to 12 minutes to reach the correct pressure level depending on the amount of water in the tank.

Once the orange light has gone out the machine is ready to use. The orange light may come back on when the machine is in use. If this happens, release the safety trigger and allow the steam pressure to build up once again. This should take no longer than 40 seconds. If the safety trigger is pressed when the orange light is on, hot water may come out of the machine. Disconnect the power cable from the electrical outlet. Wait 5 minutes before squeezing the safety trigger to make sure the machine is no longer under pressure before unscrewing the safety cap. DO NOT unscrew the safety cap until the steam has stopped. Now you can push any of these three tools onto the tip of the jet-nozzle. Please note that these attachments slide onto the straight adaptor (do not twist). 6 7 Attach the floor brush to the extension wands, which snap together. Then attach the extension wand to the steam gun. Do ensure the extension wands are firmly connected. Before cleaning always remove dust from the surface you wish to clean. To release the extension wands depress the button on the hose connection.

Steam flow is erratic; sometimes it works well, other times it does not If you have not used distilled or deionized water, you may have a small blockage inside your Steam Cleaner. But the last page of the ACS exam usually has some of the lab safety questions that are really easy to answer, as well as a few other questions that might be fast and easy. Also ask your chemistry professor in advance if your calculator will be acceptable to use on the ACS exam. Most professors do not allow programmable calculators. I use a TI 84 plus calculator most of the time. This is a programmable calculator and typically would not be allowed to be used on the ACS exam. Find a good calculator that is approved by the professor AT LEAST 6 weeks prior to taking the ACS exam. Practice with it instead of any other calculator. Know how to use it quickly, and accurately. After that, spend the last few minutes guessing on any questions that are incomplete or haven’t been answered. By guessing, I mean answer the letter C. Consistently answer C on any that you guess. This will mean you should get about 25 of them correct statistically. If you guess different letters on each one randomly, statistically your odds of getting any of them correct are much less. With the ACS Exam, be sure to never leave any answer blank! Many Chemistry Students go into taking the exam without any preparation on taking it.Good luck on studying and on taking your ACS Exam. They are NOT allowed on the ACS exam. It then goes on to talk about practicing with an approved calculator for a few weeks. Calculate the wavelength of electromagnetic radiation given its frequency or its frequency given its wavelength. Order the common kinds of radiation in the electromagnetic spectrum according to their wavelengths or energy. Draw an energy-level diagram for the orbitals in a many-electron atom, and describe how electrons populate the orbitals in the ground-state of an atom, using the Pauli Exclusion Principle and Hund’s rule. Identify each of the four two-dimensional and seven three-dimensional primitive crystal lattices. Show the positions of the lattice points in body-centered and face-centered lattices, given a pattern of atoms in a crystalline solid identify the lattice vectors and unit cell. Use molecular orbital theory to qualitatively predict periodic trends in melting point, boiling point, and hardness of metallic elements. The questions are roughly organized by subject, and most sets have over 50 multiple choice problems. To use a problem set, click on its descriptive title. There is some overlap of topics, especially stereochemistry and spectroscopy. The difficulty of the problems varies in a random fashion, as does the organization of subject. Answers are provided after the user has made a serious effort to do a significant number of problems.
