Thanks to trickle-down, race-proven technology from Dura-Ace, the Shimano Ultegra WH-6800 Wheelset now boasts 11-speed compatibility, plus a lighter, overall hub design. It can be used with tubeless and clincher tires, and features a wide flange hub and offset aluminum rim to ensure optimal stiffness, efficiency and power transfer. The new freehub is 10g less than the previous version and its digital click bearing adjustment system diffuses quick-release tension, reduces bearing load, provides smoother spinning and increases durability. A ratcheting ring hidden under the end cap replaces the double lock system normally found on most cup and cone hubs. To adjust it, simply remove the end cap with a 5mm Allen wrench and rotate the ring to eliminate any play in the bearings -- no more messing with cone spanners! 16 x 20 straight-pull, bladed spokes increase torsional stiffness and speed. Lightweight, rigid and clincher/tubeless compatible, the 11-speed Shimano Ultegra WH-6800 wheelset achieves the perfect balance of weight savings and aerodynamic advantage.
